A bird needs to fly
Where and how high?
How with broken wings?
Hear with her pretty voice as she sings
Let me fly, she says, let me try
Were will you go and how high?
How will you fly with broken wings says I
I don't know, she says, but let me try
I need to go, I need to fly
You can, says I, when your wings heal
Be patient, the time will come when the wind is what you will feel

A Mother's Heart
I love you is easier to say harder to show
Maybe one day a mother's heart you will know
I let you go, I gave you your freedom
I watched as you walked away from God's Kingdom
I gave my heart and soul more than you will ever know
Maybe one day a mother's heart you will know
I watched as this world stole you away
Breaking a mother's heart having no say
I watched as wickedness worked its way in
A mother's love never stops, there is no end
You walked away from a mother's heart
Now in pieces, torn all apart
But still it beats its love for a lost child
Who is lost in the world wicked and wild
Maybe a mother's heart one day you will know
I love you is easier to say harder to show
I wait for my prodigal child to return
Maybe then Jehovah's ways you will be willing to learn
True love is real it does what is right
No matter how hard the fight
No matter the personal cost
Real love holds a light for those lost
To help them find their way
That there is hope with each new day
The way back is open
A mother's heart is always hopin'
A mother's heart will long and yearn
To see her lost child(ren) return
I love you is easier to say and harder to show
Maybe one day a mother's heat you will know
A mother's heart will beat true
And will always love you
Maybe one day a mother's heart you will know
I let you go, I gave you your freedom
I watched as you walked away from God's Kingdom
I gave my heart and soul more than you will ever know
Maybe one day a mother's heart you will know

Dream Lost
There is a cost
When a dream is lost
A child born
A dream sworn
Dreams come to an end
To the reality bend
For many reality is sweet
When first the dream you meet
But then for a few
Is a different reality without a clue
Dreams can be bittersweet
The child who is a little incomplete
For these dreams the price is high
This reality the wish to deny
Reach for the hope beyond
With in this reality carry on
The dream lost in reality
But a precious child true to see
A child is real
A bond seal
With reality is the reward
With hope go onward and forward
Let go and let the dream be lost
Into the reality crossed
This is where to begin
Accept the child and win
A dream is lost
Reality is the cost
When a dream is lost
A child born
A dream sworn
Dreams come to an end
To the reality bend
For many reality is sweet
When first the dream you meet
But then for a few
Is a different reality without a clue
Dreams can be bittersweet
The child who is a little incomplete
For these dreams the price is high
This reality the wish to deny
Reach for the hope beyond
With in this reality carry on
The dream lost in reality
But a precious child true to see
A child is real

With reality is the reward
With hope go onward and forward
Let go and let the dream be lost
Into the reality crossed
This is where to begin
Accept the child and win
A dream is lost
Reality is the cost
Prison
In a deep dark prison cell
There my little one does dwell
Desperately my heart does beseech
To my little so far out of reach
Only a little hand to hold
Through bars narrow and steel cold
The door shut and locked tight
It is a long dark cold night
Soon it shall come to an end
And a wonderful new journey begin
The day that will shine bright
That day is now in
The Kingdom hope is the key
That will set my little one free
Free from the prison in which she lives
Such freedom this hope gives
To hold her close without her prison bars
To have her free from imperfection mars
Open wide the prison that around her closed
To ee her clearly my precious lil' rose
To see an end to all such prisons
What a wonderful hope by Jehovah has given
There my little one does dwell
Desperately my heart does beseech
To my little so far out of reach
Only a little hand to hold
Through bars narrow and steel cold
The door shut and locked tight
It is a long dark cold night
Soon it shall come to an end
And a wonderful new journey begin
The day that will shine bright
That day is now in

Sorrow's Eyes
Through the eyes of sorrow I have seen
Of happiness and sorrow I have been between
I have known the joys of a child
To the loss of a dream to be reconciled
I have known the pain in the loss of a dream
When from aching deep within came tears a steady stream
Longing for a child to know and to hold
But the dream died and became cold
No way to rewrite the days gone
No way to learn a different song
It is a painful loss of a dream not new
It is a long dark dreary walk known to few
It is a walk not freely taken
But not to walk leaves a child forsaken
Through sorrow and loss I have come to learn
Not for joy and happiness to yearn
But to accept and seek to grow
Through eyes of sorrow a child to know
It is not just the dreams but life to live
It is not just the loss but love to give
Don't be blinded by sorrow's eyes
Only empty tears to cry
Missing the beautiful sight clear
Of a precious child held so dear
Through the eyes of sorrow see
Not just the lost dream but a sweet reality
Of happiness and sorrow I have been between
I have known the joys of a child
To the loss of a dream to be reconciled
I have known the pain in the loss of a dream
When from aching deep within came tears a steady stream
Longing for a child to know and to hold
But the dream died and became cold
No way to rewrite the days gone
No way to learn a different song
It is a painful loss of a dream not new
It is a long dark dreary walk known to few
It is a walk not freely taken
But not to walk leaves a child forsaken
Through sorrow and loss I have come to learn
Not for joy and happiness to yearn
But to accept and seek to grow
Through eyes of sorrow a child to know
It is not just the dreams but life to live
It is not just the loss but love to give
Don't be blinded by sorrow's eyes
Only empty tears to cry
Missing the beautiful sight clear

Through the eyes of sorrow see
Not just the lost dream but a sweet reality
